I haven't made a real post in a while, I seem to only update this properly every few weeks, I am reading my friends page every day though. I just find it hard to make updates these days. I'll list off some things that have happened so far this year:

  • Exams pretty much controlled most of January. I have never been so stressed and I am never going to let myself get so stressed again. Being so stressed brought back anxiety and panic attacks but since exams have ended, I've not had issues with either, thankfully. I only seem to get panic attacks every few months but I hope this time the stretch between them is, well, as long as it can possibly be. On the note of exams, they didn't go brilliantly, however I did try my best with the limited time I left myself, I should find out my results soon.

  • After exams, I went to Amsterdam with a lot of my friends, it was ran by one of the societies at Uni as an end of exams celebration. It was a ton of fun and I made a lot of new friends whilst we were there. There's a Ben and Jerry's shop that did the most amazing Belgian waffles, and you got ANY Ben and Jerry's ice cream of your choice on it, I went for Peanut Butter Cup and it was a great choice.

  • I visited the Harry Potter Studio Tour with my parents, it was the second time I'd been, and it was just as magical as the first time. If you're in the UK and can make it, you definitely should, it's an amazing experience that never fails to amaze me.

  • I haven't done too much this month, I watched Camp Takota today, and it was amazing, I felt strangely proud the entire time, seeing some of my favourite Youtubers that I've followed for a long time, and they achieved one of their goals in making that. I want to watch it again already!! I'm going to see the Lego Movie in just under an hour, and I hope that is just as amazing.

  • Speaking of Youtube, if you've seen my recent posts you may have seen that I've made my own channel. And I've loved making videos and uploading content to it, it's quickly become one of my favourite things to do. I have so much fun with improvising videos and hopefully making people happy or laugh, it's something I want to do for a long time. Whilst my view count is rather low, it's shot up quite a bit from what it was a couple of weeks ago, i.e I woke up to 20 views on a video I uploaded at about 11pm and I hadn't posted it anywhere, so it was pretty cool to know that 20 people who subscribe to me must have wanted to see it! I'm so glad I've started doing this, it's such a creative outlet and I enjoy it so much. I've been much happier since starting it, it's as if there was a gap in my life that needed filling, and I didn't even know it was there, until I started this.

  • This post has turned into a very long one and I need to end it now since I need to go get changed before I go to see the Lego Movie. I hope you're all well!

How did you like the Lego Movie? I saw it a few days ago and I really liked it. Unfortunately, most of my friends haven't seen it yet, so I have no one to talk about it with.

I really loved it up until *SPOILERS for anyone who hasn't seen it* it went real world, I liked it being more a contained world thing rather than making it a child's story, it kinda ruined the fun of it for me.
But it was much better than I was expecting and surprisingly funny!

The real world scene didn't bother me too much. I was expecting it to break the fourth wall ever since Emmet mentioned something about the Man Upstairs. The "you are the special" remarks and the wording of the prophecy kind of hinted at it too. However, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around some of the implications. How much free will do the Lego people have? They appear to have a little bit, at least, if Emmet can move by himself. Some of the dialog and jokes also seem slightly too mature for a child to think up.

But anyway, I was also pleasantly surprised by how funny it was. I was worried that they had used up all the good jokes in the trailer, but that was not the case!

Most of all, the movie made me want to play with Legos. Sadly, I sold all of mine a few years ago. :(

Yeah, the free will thing was really bothering me, I guess after that I was confused about the character's personalities, were they there or were they made up? It's probably a dumb thing to focus on though.

Aw no :( Maybe try get some old ones from a yard sale or something? Buying them new seems to be really expensive now
